Hurrah for having nothing worth stealing.
Feb. 18th, 2008 11:03 pmOn my way home from Aelf's evening social, I lost my bike satchel. I usually have the pair of them draped over the fender and even though they're light they keep each other in line.
Five miles later, when I got home, I noticed it was missing. I then began the tortuous retracing, which was tricky given that I'd taken the car (choosing speed over thoroughness) and was therefore driving down the opposite side of the road at first. I was also occasionally getting out and hiking, where I'd taken the bike off street.
(Steven's Creek bike trail does not have a passing lane even for something as small as the Del Sol.)
I found it back on El Camino, at a bus shelter. The contents were strewn around, but I don't think anything was missing. Even my phone is apparently too crapulous to bother stealing.
