Making a stop on April First
Apr. 1st, 2008 09:52 amBeing strongly identified with a trickster, I am expected therefore to work extra hard to day.
So, to fuck with expectations, I'm playing it utterly straight today. I will do my utmost to avoid sarcasm, irony, dramatic exaggerations and evasions. Given that I work in customer service, this could be interesting.
I stopped by the new MVPL today. I haven't even been inside and already I'm in love. I met the book return this morning. Instead of being crammed into a corner where people queue up and then can't get out after dumping their books into a giant bin, you now go to a spot outside the library (that looks like it's 24/7), with easy access. You put your items in a hole one at a time, the scanner reads the item's bar code and checks the item in, and then you put the next item in.
*Such* an improvement.
I also heard Vast's "Pretty When You Cry" thanks to Murdoch's VIP tickets to Death Guild, and it made me want to RP. Specifically, it made me want to run a game with an antagonist like that and hire a DJ to maintain a soundtrack and play appropriate musical cues.
