May. 8th, 2008 09:49 pmEDIT:
I should have stuck with my original plan to JUST LOOK and NOT BUY ANYTHING.
I really like the look of these goggles and they're half the price. Thank you, Windrose. Maybe there's a return plan, or maybe they'll consider buying them back.
I stopped by the A/N Surplus store at lunch, and decided that I didn't like any of the clothes. I picked up lots of googles, though, either for loan or for selling/gifting. (Windrose? Do you like any of these styles?)
They could use some crafty steampunk retooling, but I'm not certain exactly how to start that yet.
These apparently belonged to a mig pilot.
The phrase "Russian rocket crew" was used with these. They come with their own case--I like the rivets and leather but something must be done about the green plastic.
I got a set of extra lenses for these two. They have little leather nosepieces.
They come with instructions!
....Or maybe passport applications.
I can't wear glasses with any of them, so they're definitely not driving goggles. I think swapping out the elastic bands for some sort of.... leather maybe?... is in order. Maybe some paint. Gewgaws, doo dads, copper wiring, *something*.
