I'm trying to get back into salads, as a way to increase my intake of raw vegetables and fruits.
I bought more of those baby yellow squashes, with plans to sautee them or something, and wondered if they were tasty before you cooked them. So I'll try cutting a small slice tonight. In the meantime, more carrots (very little nutrition but they make it sweet) and probably white mushrooms for the protein, and broccoli and maybe green beans or something. I should have done more shopping at the farmers' market but I'm not very good at planning ahead.

I can hook you up with lots of lettuce seeds, if you want 'em.
Also, carrots.
And cukes and green beans.

(I think I planted too many lettuces! Oops! If I can replant some of the seedlings, you're welcome to those, too. *grin*)

As for raw squash, I can't say I've ever even thought of eating it. I figured it was like potatoes - more or less inedible unless cooked. (I'm sure that someone COULD eat a whole raw potato and be fine, but it'd be pretty gross.)
