My friend Rose and her boy are considering coming down from Alaska for a visit next year. I'll get to show them my favorite parts of the Bay Area. (Plus, I hear he's really cute.)

I have quite a few. I mean to ask my friend what sorts of things they're interested in so I can choose between things like the Winchester Mansion or the Exploratorium or Mount Tam...
She's been here before, so she likely has a list of things she wants to do too.

Well, I hear from your friend that she loved seeing the Exploratorium when she was a kid and thinks her definitely-of-legal-age boy would like it too, since he's a science geek, and that he's also shown interest in Winchester Mansion, which she's never seen. She's never heard of Mount Tam, though.

Mount Tamalpais is up in North Bay, and it has hiking trails with a view of the ocean, and it plays prominently in a fiction piece I'm currently writing.
