If I want to just buy a new rear wheel, I can walk in on Saturday or Sunday.
If I want to try to true the wheel, it's a two week wait for an appointment.
Oh yeah, that appointment would probably be on a weekday because I imagine weekends are jammed.

The moral of this story?
Get a bike stand. ;-(

( Although, to be fair to bike shops, buying a wheel usually means you've got a bad flat, so they get priority over truing a wheel, which usually means you just want a tune-up. It's not *just* about the dollar value of the service )

It's also, I expect, the time involved and the labor of truing a wheel as opposed to simply replacing it.
And I *have* a bike stand. ): My bike never gets laid on the ground. She parks in the hallway at.... Oh Fuck.
That's probably what it is. Somebody opened the door really hard and it pinched the rear tyre somehow.
