Alas, I didn't get it until Monday. There's a place called 'CandyLand' next to the aquarium, and I scampered through picking up one or two pieces of various things.
I never developed a taste for things licorice. Anything anise or fennel flavoured just makes my stomach turn. So, no sambuca, ouzo or absinthe for me.
It's got to be something genetic...like with cilantro/coriander...some people (like me) absolutely love it and others think it tastes like soapy water.
So, enjoy your licorice caramels. And if you get any non-licorice caramels, save one for me! :)
It's definitely got a polarizing element, yeah. The housemate is also not a fan. And there are lots of non-licorice caramels, so I'll look for some of the high quality ones. (:
Is it licorice or is it caramel?
