I must respectfully disagree with Miss Rose. Although it is "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead" (A masterful work by Tom Stoppoard), the actor in question is Tim Roth. His partner, the loyal Guildenstern, is Gary Oldman.

Ack! You're right. But then, considering that part of the joke is that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern can't even tell *themselves* apart, I don't think I'm going to feel too bad. ;)

This is where I get embarrassed--I've seen a production of the play, but I've never actually gotten around to seeing the movie (but it has been on me "to-see" list for ages now).

There is no need for embarrassment. There are hundreds of films I haven't seen yet, that I actually want to see. And the number grows every week, I expect. (:
I do highly recommend it, though.
