Beard Slivers

Every time I trim my beard (which I do in order to maintain my Roger Delgado good looks), for days afterward there are little razor sharp pieces of hair in my beard (even after showering, scrubbing, combing... pretty much anything except shaving) that sink into my sink like porcupine quills when I run my hands through it or brush it or scratch my chin. And I can only imagine what might happen if, the gods smile, somebody *else* might be in a position to do one of those things one day.

To those of you with beards: Is this a problem you have? Do you just spend time afterward in the 'prickly tent'?

Ron used to use conditioner on his beard. IT made it much softer in general... not sure if that would help.
