Rich Dansky, who is an intelligent and well spoken fellow on his worst day, has just written a post which articulates my concerns about the election process and particularly the tactics of pouring gas on your supporters' hate fire, and how that affects "What is best for the country" and what then happens on 05 November.

The election is making me die a little bit inside.

It's a small world after all.

I know him. Knew him, rather, haven't talked to him in probably 5 or 6 years.

Hee! Yeah, I finally stumbled upon his LJ through another friend, but we haven't really been 'in touch' for quite some time. But I'm glad I can still keep up with his life.

Oh, hey! When did you get here? Have you tried the mini-knishes? They are *so* good.

I'm over in the corner. I'm just Obfuscating.

I'm doing well, thanks. Still writing, making video games, and happily married. How are you?

I got bored today and logged on to DragonMUD...amazing how many people I don't remember from there.

Anyway. I'm doing well. Less of a depressed angsty drama-ball than I used to be, thank god. Going to school, trying to figure out a major, and this is my 5th year there! :P

Wow. DragonMUD. Haven't logged on for ages (though I still talk to Bedo on a semi-regular basis)

Yeh, I know, been ages since I've seen the name Aiken-Lugonn! :P I still talk to Ternia on a regular basis--of course, her being my best friend and all. And I've been talking to Lestrade a bit more lately. But for the most part, no one logs on anymore and I have no alternate contact info for anyone. I miss the days when it was active, and I was beating Dybs off with a stick, questing while paging a half dozen different people, hanging out in town square, playing hearts with Marvin...was good times back then. And now, I'm more than 8 years old over there. When did THAT happen, I ask?! :P

These names... it's as if somewhere deep in the mists of time I can faintly hear a bell tolling. The bell tells me that I have a connection, but it won't tell me what that connection *is*....

Don't ask me. I just keep on forgetting where I stashed my telnet client, 'cause real men use raw TELNET, doncha know?

heh, I had to download Pueblo...and then remembered I still had MUSH client installed. :P (I like Pueblo better now anyway though)

Also, it's okay that I don't use telnet. I'm not a man, real or otherwise. So there.

Last night I was told; "That's what vice-presidential candidates are for;" to launch attacks against your opponent.

But once again this is American politics at its predictable worst. McCain knows he's losing, and he's probably starting to realize that Palin was a bad choice. (Too late.)

When you give up a "battleground" state it's not a good sign, and economic bad times tend to favor Democrats. Plus, he did a terrible job at the last debate.

Obama will probably win a (typically bitter and nasty) election.

I blame the elections for my constant heartburn. I just eat the berry flavored TUMS like candy now.
