Pissed off again. Every time I see somebody say "We desperately need money for our efforts for/against this ballot measure/candidate, please! Because as history and polls have repeatedly shown, undecided voters (the people who dictate this and every election) can only remember the last political ad that they saw.

There are days when I think voter testing might not be such an awful thing.

Actually if a message is repeated enough without a counter message repeated equally, that message sticks with many people. So yes, money can win these battles if one side has lots more money than the other. Thus the war of escalation.

Better Idea: No campaigning by special interests. Get all the special interest and lobbyist money out of all elections. The only information voters get comes from the Secretary of State (propositions) or the candidates. That office or the candidates will be charged with running all adverts, putting out all mailings, making all phone calls, and publish the voter pamphlet (Secretary of State only). No special interest group can lobby Secretary of State employees or candidates' employees in anyway. Penalty for doing so is loss of voting rights for *everyone* in the organization hired to lobby and the group who hired them.
