And I don't go to sleep to dream
Dec. 27th, 2008 12:07 pmSomething has changed.
Sleep has, over the past few months, been growing less and less productive as a source of solace and a renewal against the coming day. I would wake up several times during the night, and then I started having trouble sleeping my accustomed eight (or a little more when I could) hours. I was down to about six hours a night minus however long I was awake for. All I needed were some creepy hallucinations and we had the makings a a Stephen King novel.
This week, though, things have been improving. In the past few days I've managed to sleep through the night. And last night, I got a full eight hours of sleep and didn't wake up until ten. I approve of five day weekends, and think there should be more of them.

Date: 2008-12-28 06:11 am (UTC)But sometimes I'm wide awake and I know I'm not getting back to sleep easily. I'm tempted to start working or surfing the web, then realize that won't help me the next day.
It's gotten better recently, but it still happens on a fairly regular basis.
Happy Holidays, BTW. I hope they were good to you, and that 2009 will be even better.
