I'm glad you weren't hurt, but I wish I could say I was surprised.

I drive defensively. I don't speed. Yet I'm surrounded by ass-hats who constantly endanger my safety through their negligence/bad driving. I also see accidents on 101 on a regular basis, (much more than I used to.)

And I think that's the thing that fills me with rage--doing all the 'right' things and still being pretty much at the mercy of the appalling driving habits of the people I have to share the road with.

That's what "drives" me up the wall also. People don't understand they don't have the right to endanger the health and safety of others, or they fail to understand they're pushing around 1-2 tons of metal and plastic, and just how much damage their irresponsibility can do.

It doesn't help that people are stressed out and distracted nowadays.
