One would not expect that the first reaction to a huge adrenaline spike would be "I need a Coke."

And the Coke makes perfect sense to me: lots of sugar, which is good for shock. Years ago I had a nasty motorcycle crash and made my way to a gas station. The first thing I did was buy a Coke and some aspirin, and only then called a friend with a truck to come get me.

Is there something in the air this week? Another friend was t-boned by an idiot who ran a red light. No injuries in that accident either, but what the hell?
