So this morning Mei says 'Get in the white car and come over.'
And it took me a long time to wrap my head around the concept. I mean, I couldn't just get into the car and drive it. That would be wrong. So I called Tersa and left a message asking if she had any plans for the beast, and waited half an hour so she could get the message and call me back. And maybe tell me to leave the car alone, so I could just ride the train and be safe.
But she failed me, and I drove to get Jamba Juice and then to Avalon.
All by myself. With nobody but Peter Murphy in the car.
And on the way home I even got onto the highway. Which was even more terrifying than the drive over.
But somehow I am alive, and the living room is full of hot babes. So I gots to go.

Driving GOOOOOD!

Actually, I had a gnawing desire to drive over to Half Moon at about one in the morning, and only the poor state of my gas tank and the fact that I have 3247239854723956 things to do today managed to kerb it.
I'd often get this.... pull toward the ocean, like the tides, when I was in Oregon. Usually in the middle of the night. But it's never happened here before.
Would that be a road trip, or is it too short?

Good for you!!

And heading to the beach counts as a day trip if you stay more than a couple of hours. :) It's not quite a rod trip, but it IS a start!

HMB at 1am definitely counts as a road trip. And it's probably a saner time to go than the daylight hours, when there will be many more obnoxious drivers on the road. I say go for it. :-)

Mmmmmmmm. I'm hesitant here. Because I've had Juice+Babes without the license. (:
However, especially around here, having a car is mandatory by state law.

You'll catch more Babes and Juice with a car than with a train (or a bike).

So much for never driving again, eh?

CA freeways (and highways) are scary to anyone who is sane.

Now now. I only said I never /had to/. I also freely admitted, a long time ago, that it was pretty much mandatory for somebody living around here that they have a license.
