Okay, I haven't done anything music-related in a while (I've thought about the lyric guessing game, but haven't mustered the energy) and my posting today has been minimal. So using these excuses I justify this.

RULES:
1.) Put your music player on shuffle
2.) Press forward for each question
3.) Use the song title as the answer
4.) NO CHEATING!!! What you get is what you get!

1) How am I feeling today?
Whistling in the Dark by They Might Be Giants
Okay, I'll buy that.

2) About your marriage?
I'm a Roustabout by Elvis Presley
Build it up, knock it down. I guess it works.

3) What is my best friend’s theme song?
A View to a Kill by Duran Duran
I think my best friend is weird. Or wears a tux all the time.

4) What is/was high school like?
The Nutcracker Suite--The Russian Dance by Piotr Tchaikovsky
Uh. I guess they didn't specify *my* high school.

5) What is the best thing about me?
Life for Rent by Dido
I haven't ever really found a place that I call home. ....Good. If that's the best thing, I suppose it's all down hill from here.

6) How is today going to be?
The Old Landmark by James Brown
...Was it really *that* jubilant? Awesome.

7) What is in store for this weekend?
Comfortably Numb by Sisters of Mercy
...Somebody should tell the Birthday Krewe so they're warned.

8) What song describes my parents?
Reach for the Sky by Social Distortion
Reach for the sky, 'cause tomorrow may never come. I should call them.

9) How is my life going?
Los Angelenos by Billy Joel
Uh. I'm going to have to exercise my veto on this one.

10) What song will they play at my funeral?
Dark by Gary Numan
And not the happy poppy 'Cars' Gary Numan. This is the King of Darkwave with a song called Dark so you know it's bonus darkness.

11) How does the world see me?
The Unforgettable Fire by U2
Don't push me too far. Tonight. I have no idea, kids.

12) What do my friends really think of me?
You Lied by Green Day
Oh, that's a winner. That's the gold medal so far.

13) Do people secretly lust after me?
Shake Your Lovemaker by the Cherry Poppin' Daddies
I've got to think that's a yes. But remember, kids, secrets are a bad basis for a relationship.

14) How can I make myself happy?
Down to the Waterline by Dire Straits
....submitted without further comment

15) What should I do with my life?
Finale--the Magic Store from the Muppet Movie
That's pretty direct. Also, it's got the Rainbow Connection as a hidden track.

16) How many children?
Carmen, The Toreador's March by George Bizet
Apparently as many as I can gore on a bull's horns.

17) What is some good advice?
Newborn by Guadalcanal Diary
Uh. Aren't you one question too late?

18) What do I think my current theme song is?
New Polkas by Boiled in Lead
Okay, I can buy that. Appropriate enough

19) What does everyone else think my current theme song is?
Stumptown by Nickel Creek
Okay, WTF are y'all thinking?

20) What type of men/women do you like?
I Have Chosen the Blissful by Gretchaninov
....Sure. Why not?

21) How long will you be married?
Homo Christmas by Pansy Division
Also straight and to the point. Well, California, I guess it's up to you.

22) What should I do with my love life?
Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves by Eurythmics
Once again, straight and to the point. I can't say I haven't considered this option.

24) Where will you live?
The Montague Boys from Romeo + Juliet
I guess I'll be living on Verona Beach

25) What will your dying words be?
The Babysitter's Here by Dar Williams
I like it. Cryptic. Maybe I could suggest "Either the babysitter goes, or I do."

26) How’s your day going so far?
I'll Be There by Erasure
Apparently I'm present. It's a good start.

27) How’s your love life?
Just Can't Get Enough by Depeche Mode
I'll leave that to you to interpret.

According to the web page, it's 68oF outside, and it's nearly 80 in here. Highs were supposed to be in the low nineties.

It's 18 outside here and 24 in my flat. The central system will kick on shortly to cool it down. No AC for you?

Alas, no. And... I'm somewhat bitter about that. As far as I can tell, the people who built/architected the South Bay decided that if they just wished hard enough that it was 72 and sunny all the time, the power of positive thinking would make it so. So no air conditioning. No insulation. We do have vaulted ceilings, though, and an evening breeze off the water. So that helps most of the time.

We're close enough to the ocean to avoid the nasty heavy air that most of Los Angeles is subject to, but University Housing provides central heat/AC as well as high speed internet, which is why I'm willing to pay exorbitant rents and additional exorbitant parking rates. ;)

I cannot argue with this reasoning. Especially not right now. q:
