Pressure's gonna drop on you
Oct. 21st, 2009 01:28 amThe Specials killed my car stereo today.
I was trying to get out of downtown Mountain View in rush hour traffic. It took me twenty minutes to get the four blocks from the parking garage to Central Expressway. In order to keep me from getting out of the car and attacking other drivers with a baseball bat, I turned on the stereo and put in my eighties mix. That was when Pressure Drop came on, and I turned up the volume a little so I could sing along. And after the organ/choral intro, when the snare drum kicks in, my speakers experienced soundfail. My stereo now sounds like that guy next to you on the bus whose mp3 player is turned up way too loud. Which means that usually I can identify which eighties song is playing.
