That heavy heavy monster sound again
Oct. 31st, 2009 01:41 amSo this morning I discovered that "One Step Beyond" did not make the transfer from beat up cassette tape to beat up jewel case CD. No big deal, right? Probably on Amazon download, maybe the CD is on sale for $6.
But no. There's a remastered copy selling for about $20, with two discs and videos and stuff though. But I didn't come here to tell you that story. I told you that story so I could tell you this story.
I was looking at the mp3s they did have for sale, and they had three different versions of OSB--3:33, 2:20, and 2:18. I was a little curious; I figured the last two were probably the same version trimmed a little more or less tightly, but I wondered what was different about the first. So I hit the thirty second sample on all three. And all three were the same thirty second sample. I pass this information on to you so that you are forewarned.
