Hey LJ land! Do you know of somebody, or are perhaps yourself somebody, who is looking for a place to live or somebody to fill a living place you already have?
I'm specifically interested in markets in the Greater San Francisco area (especially south bay) or Seattle/Portland. There is also interest in Michigan and Pennsylvania, but offers have been made for both locations.
Also, if you or somebody you know wants to employ a clever well read person with a history in customer service and creative work/proofreading, then this is your big chance!
Please write to me c/o this journal, and enclosed a SASE (current first class postage please). Allow six to eight hours for reply.

Um, where in Michigan? I just ask because [livejournal.com profile] senatorhatty has a lot of family in Michigan, and it's a terrible, terrible place to look for work right now. Our area is better :)

It's north of Detroit and yes, it sucks for work. Free rent is a big selling point. How close to Penn State are you? (I have no idea.)

We have a friend who moved to that exact area 3 years ago (and wants to game) and has had free rent--and has STILL not gotten a job. Seriously. There were hundreds of applicants to work at Home Depot. Family members of Chris's are losing their houses. It makes the Bay Area look like an easy place to live right now.

We're in Pittsburgh, which is far from Penn State, but does have jobs. Not lots, but it's also not as populated, so the competition is a little less fierce, I think.

Regardless, I'd advise getting a job before moving. Safer that way. Pittsburgh has craigslist and everything :).
