cyrano: (My Last Spoon)

Those of you who have been paying attention likely suspect that I've been going through my library and removing elements which are no longer essential. (I still have about three and a half shelves of books to sort, but nowhere to put the books that get culled.)

What this means to you: Your big chance to pick up new stuff!
I've gone through my DVDs, my CDs, and my books. (Also, whatever of the toys/stuff I've managed to get sorted. Filler Bunny and some kaleidoscopes, for instance.) I've got a considerable portion of each waiting to be given a good home. *You* should come over, find something you like (or lots of somethings) and then make me an offer. I will be home all day Monday, Tuesday until five or six (with a luncheon engagement), Wednesday until six-thirty (at which point I have guests), and Thursday until four-thirty (at which point I have a final). If you can't make those times, and are desperate to have a garner, contact me.

What I'm not doing: Making a list of what I've got. Too way too much work. Mailing anything anywhere. I learned, too late in this process, that my need to reduce headaches is greater than my need to see that my things find a happy home.

If you have gifted me books, CDs, or DVDs, and you come over, you may find something familiar in the 'moving out' section. This does not mean I don't love you, nor does it mean that I didn't enjoy your gift. It means I enjoyed it and am trying to find somebody else to enjoy it next.

If I could, I would mail you a cheerleader to applaud your efforts. Since USPS seems to have recently tightened their restrictions, though, I'll send you a page of cheerleaders instead. :)

And not a one of them as lovely as you. But I'm still touched.

I think you might need to get your eyes checked. Either that or a set of airbrushers and photo retouchers are going to be out of work soon.

I would feel sorry for them being out of work, but it's hardly their fault.
