Today I went to the Germaniest part of America--Frankenmuth. I got sausages and sauerkraut, in a building constructed by Lutherans in 1850 for converting Indians. Also, we went to the Christmastastic Bronner's, a store dedicated to making certain you have access to all your Christmas related needs 361 days a year. Mile upon mile of ornaments, decorations, and Father Christmasses. There was a Channukah box even! I have topped off the tank of my Christmas spirit, and am ready to settle down to watch The Ref on the twenty-fifth.

Having been to both, Frankenmuth wins. Amana has gone too Iowa.

Dude, I didn't know you were going to MI! My Dad grew up about 10 miles from Frankenmuth (in Bridgeport, near Saginaw).

I thought you might have semi-local family. (:
I came up to visit friends and see snow, just a quick holiday trip.
