Apparently the studio is considering bucking to get "Avatar" nominated for best original screenplay.

That'd be a thing.

It is NOT an Academy Award winning screenplay. An entertaining and very beautiful film visually, but there was nothing "original" here.

I heard it described as "Dances With Smurfs/Aliens," and both terms nail it.
