On the way back from Whole Foods, driving past Baji's, it occurred to me that I ought to put together a California Bucket List, for things to do before I leave. And I think I'll slip that behind a LJ-cut.

These are pretty universally things I am inviting you to do with me. The people I'm leaving here are the main reason that I'm still in California at this point. Invite yourself. Or make suggestions and then invite yourself.

Whole Foods is not going to be an issue--I'll probably be there four times, like Farmer's Market .

Alcatraz (I still haven't been out there. Luckily, winter crowds are small.)

You should probably hit up the Afghan food too.

We have some good Thai here and some Ethiopian, but haven't tried the latter yet. I have a couple places written down that are supposedly good Indian food, but so far my experiences have not been so great.

I've had decent sushi in Michigan, but I think, given the distance from oceans, not a bad idea to hit it up, as you suggest. Oh, Dearborn has some fabulous middle eastern food (which makes sense when you learn about their demographics) but is not exactly close to where you'll be.
