Meet the new boss, same as the old boss

New job starts tomorrow, and the lovely and wise Ebonlock was kind enough to do a reading for me.
Boy was I shocked and surprised to find Le Pendu in the center. Really shocked. Really surprised.
And next to him was the Emperor. I am embracing the Emperor, and entering the stratification of a new workplace with a cheery face and a smashing wardrobe. Also making guest appearances were the six of swords and the eight of cups, leaving problems behind.

Le Pendu?

I think that was outside the scope of my French lessons. Translation?

I think it was my Swiss deck which had French names for everybody, and Pendu was the Hanged Man, pendant from the cross beam.
