All I've got is a photograph
Feb. 16th, 2010 11:26 amPhoto montage from the past few days' activity. Photos have helpful descriptions--they won't show up in the post; you'll have to click through to the gallery.
Wendi and I went to see the Tutankhamen exhibit, which has evolved significantly in content since I last saw it. But there are no pictures allowed in the exhibit so these are from other places in the DeYoung.

This one just amused me. Like the sign on the gate I posted earlier.
.
A poor attempt to give some idea to others what I was seeing. The delicate beauty of this is hard to relate and harder to photograph.

Oh look, another poor attempt to give some idea to others what I was seeing. It starts out as a sort of confusing jumble. Then it takes form, then there's action implied, and a sense of solid rooted power.
This was an important trip for me, and I was glad that Maria came along to share it with me. Alas, she was menaced at nearly every turn, and is lucky to have survived the incident!

Tales of her peril can be found by clicking through to the gallery.

.
The faint of heart be warned! And do not let your children look on unsupervised!
.
Oh, the humanity!
Driving on 280, starting to get dozey, and coincidentally was passing by the Crystal Springs Reservoir. Which I did not in the least mind getting a chance to see once more.
.
Not much commentary here. Just beautiful country.
