Just read an article from Making Light. Apparently there have been some arrests--militia/religious organizers have managed to create a self fulfilling prophecy and gotten themselves persecuted for planning terrorist actions. Right here in Michigan.
I never thought this country would stupid itself to death. Spend itself to death? Eat itself to death? Bury itself in bureocracy? Sell itself to corporations? Sure. Highly possible. But I may have badly overestimated the stupid factor.

I bet you didn't see that coming.

Well, actually, I did. It's not all that hard to see. The Stupid is everywhere, and like Baskin Robbins, it comes in 31 flavors.

Being in a new region just means you need to acclimate to the local nut balls. You got way too used to the Bay Area variety, so this type seems worse.

Would love to hear how things are going for you on a practical level.
