Um. Ambivalent.
Emotionally satisfying, with lots of crying. Intellectually, chock full of fan service with a little red bow on top. Kind of like the end of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but without the irony. Somewhere in that church is a closet full of green Handwavium.
However, I feel pretty satisfied that the gang had a general idea of where they wanted to go all along. So that's nice. And Des finally got his happy ending, even if it was in some bizarre sideways imaginary alternate reality purgatory whateveritwas thing. Because g*d knows he DESERVED it.
I did a five hour 'catch up marathon' and had lots of OH SHIT moments, like realising that Esau (which is what I'm calling Jacob's brother for obvious reasons) was actually Alex when she said "You had best do whatever Locke says or I will CUT YOU" so that when he showed up as Locke later Ben would fall into line.
