Today was the World Steam Expo, the Neo-Victoriana convention in Dearborn. You folks have already heard my feelings about the term SteamPunk so I'm not going to go into that again. If you're a Joy Division fan who's ever been inside a Hot Topic, then you already know.
I'm also not going to go into the many reasons that I ended up not staying to see the concerts I came for. Suffice to say that I am frustrated and not very happy about it.
But there was dancing, and the costume watching was pretty good.

If only I had the slightest idea...I'm pretty much spending the entire weekend at the Expo, as I'm helping Lexmachine take photos, and learning to suck less at it. Thus, I was there from noon-3am yesterday and am looking at a similar grind today. We should compare notes.

I kept wanting to take photos, ironically enough. (: But between the crappy hardware and the personal issues, I bailed on the idea. Attending was kind of a last minute thing for me--I didn't know about it until the Abney Park folks sent me an email saying "Hey! We're coming out east! Check us out!"
