Dragon Age--The tower! Rapunzel! Rapunzel!
Jun. 8th, 2010 11:06 pmI'm getting a firmer grip on combat. Now it's more like driving a car with loose steering, soft brakes, manual transmission, and several large friendly dogs roaming the cab. There were *no* party wipes today. We plowed up the tower, and I managed to convince the party, from time to time, that pulling one or several bad guys and dealing with them in small chunks was more fun than rushing in to take them all on at once.
And after all the ominous warnings about the Ogre? I kept him busy chasing the magus around while the combat monkeys beat him dead. And despite warnings from the Codex, he did not rise up from his deathbed and crush us in his wrath. However, I totally did not see the betrayal at Ostragar coming. I have the feeling that he saw something we didn't, or at least I think that would make a cool story. I've picked up Morrigan, although she's rapidly losing interest in me because I'm helping people in town. Plus, I asked the crazy priestess into my party. (I can't wait. This is going to be fun!)
Oh! And I also have a dog now. I named him Cuddles. (:
Um. Lots happened as far as exposition, and I've entered the world map.
Do Chantry jobs gain you experience or just cash? And why don't I have any flasks? They seem to be neccessary for any herbal or poison crafting. Also, I need to figure out how to use things. I'm certain it's a simple process. Plus, I have no idea how to get to 'camp'. There's probably a button to click or something.

Date: 2010-06-09 04:17 pm (UTC)I don't suppose there's a right-click option to cut the bugger's head off once he's down. Or is it assumed that I've blithely forgotten that whole 'not really dead' thing?
Also, weird that I hadn't seen flasks yet. Maybe they figured I didn't need them.
I suppose, to continue that spoonerism/reversal theme, my next dog could be Sera.
