I've got my Quality: Having Recurring Dreams: Is Someone There? at sixteen. Is there some eventual destination for this that we know of? Or am I chasing the dragon's tail?

Holy wow! I have stopped taking the cards that give me Nightmares, because I didn't like a State of Some Confusion. One bit. So I'm not really helpful here, other than to say you are a braver soul than I!

I found that I could keep Nightmares in check with the "Peaceful walk in the fungus" and "Visit the very relaxing club" cards along with the rare occasion that I won a weasel fight.

Not sure. I got knocked back down when I went to the nightmare crazyplace and came back, so I'm only at 8 or 9 on most of my recurring dreams, but I'm working my way higher slowly and safely to see if any of them get anywhere.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that! I bet it's like "Free of Surface Ties" where it's not just one dream that has to get built up, but all of them.

Is there something more than Free of Surface Ties, or do you mean getting to that one through resolving all the surface ties storylines?

I meant that to get "Free of Surface Ties" it seemed like I had to get "Ties to the Surface" for all four (five?) attributes to a certain level, yes.

I got free of surface ties after only getting two attributes up. So, I think that's a flawed assumption. :)

Oh, right, I don't think it comes up in the mirror one. Several of the nightmare storylines start having characters or situations tell you the word "NORTH" after a while.

Hrmmm. Once I'm done with Heart's Desire, I may have to pick up some new dreams. (I was worried that starting a new one would erase the old one, like going to A Very Strange Place did.

Nope, they don't cancel out. I have all of them at some level or other, and while I wait for new content I'm inching them upwards, although right now I need to drop my nightmares a bit before I hit any more cards. May be time for some laudanum.
