I hear rumors that the World Cup broke Twitter.
Tweeters, has this happened before? Presidential elections, NBA games, possibly natural disasters that did not involve Vuvuzelas?

The NHL bloggers have joked that Trade Deadline day broke Twitter back in March. :)

I'm pretty sure Michael Jackson's death broke Twitter. I don't use it, so I have no clue, but that's what I heard.

From all of the above, sounds like Twitter is pretty fragile. (Not being an actual Twit, I wouldn't know.)

It gets broken frequently, major sporting events, celebrity deaths, etc. It's actually pretty easy to knock out the system temporarily.
