So I died and went to A slow boat passing a dark beach on a silent river, and I discovered a card that raises my Wounds *and* my Nightmares. And now I'm very curious, trying to rise my Nightmares to eight to see what happens.

It is mechanically similar to what happens if you raise any of your other menaces too high, but it's not like one really plays EB for the mechanics.

I confess to being disappointed that it did pretty much what I expected it would. (Okay, Wounds taken care of? Great. Go back to your lodgings. And when you get there, there's a postit note on the fridge that says go to the Sanitorium right away.)
