I just got this letter from the Spankers mailing list.


Hi everyone -

There will be a more detailed announcement soon, but it was decided a few days ago that the Spankers will come to an end after this year. We will try to play one more show in all of our favorite cities and will announce a complete farewell concert schedule and more detailed info about our plans in the next few weeks. Starting in Corpus Christi tomorrow, all shows are now part of "Spanks for Everything: The Farewell Tour."

Here are the upcoming dates. All will be the very last shows in these venues and towns, except NYC, which the band returns to in November. But the last stand at Joe's Pub will be pretty special.

Yeah. I was seriously bummed.

I'm hoping they make a stop in Denton or Dallas soon. Otherwise, I'll be hitting the road to Austin to catch a farewell show there.
