Thirty-Five Hours to Midnight

State Senator, District 12:
Dr. Ted Golden: He says he's a dermatologist who's never held public office, and his website bears that statement out. It's confusing in its minimalism, and badly in need of proofreading (which, as you know, is a cardinal sin with me). His communication skills could definitely use some sharpening, and he'd like to start his first term by entirely re-writing the state constitution and establishing a citizen-run majority in examining and licensing boards. Also? He takes a professional stand against speed traps.
However, he does recommend healthier life styles, and maintaining estate taxes. He also feels that earned income should not be taxed at higher rates than investment income.
All in all, he comes off as the local crank who uses the election process as a platform to grind his axes combined with The Time Cube Guy.
Casandra Ulbrich: Support for education, infrastructure, public healthcare, and a more diverse workforce. Also? Does not appear to be crazy.
US Representative, District 8:
Kande Ngalamulume: No experience with government, but public service and experience with the healthcare industry. Also? No competition.
Governor:
Virg Bernero: Green Energy, environmental protection, long term water policy. An entire page devoted to equality, including reproductive rights, LGBT rights (marriage not mentioned), and recognition of religions other than Christianity. Supports public health care, including mental health. Encourages focusing on nutrition (instruction and availability issues) in school.
Andy Dillon: Annoying splash page. Several concrete steps outlined to accomplish goals. Investment in infrastructure, especially urban renewal. Experience in state House of Representatives, including Speaker of the House. Wrote/Sponsored/Really Liked "21st Century Jobs Fund" and "Renewing the Michigan Dream" plans, which seem to be about creating more jobs in the state. Opposes abortion, but voted to make emergency contraceptions available to rape victims so not entirely evil on that count.
Leaning toward Bernero.
