I am done with finals. (Don't ask me how I did, as I honestly don't know.)
I am done with batteries dying.
I am done with snowstorms.
I am done with power outages.
I am done with ponds and falling in them.
I am done with driving large passenger vehicles.

For the next forty-eight hours, the demands I expect to have to meet are:
Finish preparing for Michigaxmas.
Pack for California (and prepare, minimally, for Califoxmas).
Enjoy the people I am with.
Silver Lining the living fuck out of everything.


We're still flying.

That's not much.

It's enough.

That would be me. The pond de-icer that is supposed to heat a small hole in the ice for the purpose of letting the trapped gas escape rather than kill the fish got buried under several inches of ice, what with having a lot of wet snow dumped on it while it had no electricity to heat with. In the process of trying to carve out a big enough section of water to get the de-icer back up on top where it belongs, I managed to find a weak spot in the ice.
