So after Avatar had been in cinemas for a couple of weeks, a bunch of people suddenly discovered that they had been Pandorans in a previous life.

As I understand it, the rules are rather loosely arranged. Even if it's already been claimed by another, it seems you're free to lay your claim and then simply defend it.
