cyrano: (I crave compliments)

The radio poll (I'd put in a link but I'm a lazy bastard) has been open for a week now. I was surprised at the proportion of folks looking for small chunks of programming on a weekly basis. I'd considered it an afterthought, really, and was mostly looking at monthly or bimonthly. I forgot to ask people to tell me why, which would have been useful. In fact, if you participated in the poll, or considered it, or are considering it now, please feel free to tell me why you like the option you chose or would have chosen in comments. I will say that a programming block that small is convenient for me in one way--I can load both the current and the upcoming programs at the same time, and then switchover is seamless. The only listening time lost is the time it takes the listener to click on the station link again.
ScaryWhiteGirl: I'm considering an alternative delivery system for you, since you seem to be my most vocal listener and one of the few that this arrangement doesn't work for.

Yay, I'm special! :)

I just need to convince my office mate that really, she only HAS to work 30 hour weeks, so why is she always here? Wait, that sounds mean...

You're very special. (:
And instead of "why are you always here?" maybe something more along the lines of "GET THE HELL OUT! NOW NOW NOW!"

*ahem*

Well, I just want to listen to music while, you know, listening to it, and I don't have the focus to listen to a four hour program. I may be limiting myself unnecessarily, though, given as how I can pick it up again at the point where I left off, later.

Yeah, this shouldn't end up being a chore.
If you're listening to it in little chunks, there's a danger with the longer programs that you'll ending re-listening to a lot of stuff you've already heard, but it'll still be there.

I tend to prefer a longer, less frequent program because I can't really listen at work, which leaves the weekend as the only time I can sit down for long enough to hear a whole playlist. And, if it's a busy weekend, like this one, I might not be able to get to listen at all.
