Catch Up Post, Cajun Style
Mar. 28th, 2011 08:28 pm1. Well Poo
I ordered Dragon Age II when Amazon had its big sale. It arrived while I was in Arizona, but it's for the PSIII. q:
2. Run for the Border
Did I mention I went to Arizona? Well I did. There were friends who needed visiting, and dreary wastelands of snow and ice that needed escaping. It was wonderful, roseneko and likeable_lemur are charming and gracious hosts, and it required a crowbar and narcotics to convince me to leave.
3. Oh yeah also
For those of you who game with me or do anything social, I apparently got cast in a play. I was a little nervous since I hadn't auditioned for anything in like twenty years. Apparently I needn't have worried. Here's how things went from my perspective: Walk in. Read the same part three times. Director closes up shop after the fourth reading. Get offered the part that night. Wonder when I got replaced by a superstar competent actor guy who HOLY CRAP GETS CAST IN LEADING ROLES.
This part is bigger than anything I've done (like 400 lines), and will involve learning to juggle and play mandolin.
I'm feeling intimidated (kind of terrified) but I'm trying to turn that energy into forward momentum. But it means that until mid-May when performances are I'm probably going to have very few cycles for anything besides the play. Exceptions will be made for AmberCon and OH YEAH PETER FRICKIN' MURPHY.
And below the cut, I bring you
