cyrano: (sleepy)

Stayed out late tonight, and I think I flirted with somebody. Their first night (they said) playing RPGs. Very very good for an RP virgin. And at the end of the night we exchanged emails, and I found out they're a tecchie--apparently some sort of stage manager for hire. (Have clipboard, will travel.) And we sang showtunes (Two Ladies from Cabaret). Or rather, I sort of sang because I still have this overwhelming fear of singing in public. I used to be in a god damned chamber choir, and I still won't sing in public because eight years ago I had pneumonia and destroyed my singing voice. Not even 'Happy Birthday' at parties.
Anyway. Charming, friendly and a devastating smile. I suspect they have a boyfriend though. Alas.

For those of you keeping score at home; between severe budgeting and creative finagling and help from friends I believe I have gotten myself safely (financially) through the first of April and its assorted obligations. The Lady smiles upon her favorite fool again--Bless her.

And, in case I didn't mention it, I can deal with David Bowie's Let's Dance period much better if I sing the songs in an Elmer Fudd voice.

Now it is far too late and I'm going to bed. Tuesday I find out what my new hours at work will be.

Karsten and Rochelle, the two redheads from Debbie's, are running a Victorian Vampire White Wolf Thing.
I'm playing a Toreador I based rather loosely on Bryan Batt from Jeffrey.
He's not terribly tied into the plot yet (that I can tell) but he's just got the role dancing Iago in a new ballet production of Otello.

yes, let us have details

I'll second the motion for details, but not about the game. Particularly since you used the third person plural pronoun (they) throughout the entire paragraph. This implies you met more than one person, but the other nouns indicate otherwise.

I will skip the rant about how "he" is not only the singular masculine pronoun in the English language, but also the singular neuter one as well. And yes this isn't fair, but lots of things in life ain't fair (like tire eating potholes on the San Diego/Santa Monica freeway interchange).
However, we still do live in a patriarchal society as much as we'd like to believe otherwise.

So how about the sordid details? Is there a boyfriend?

Wow. I did play the pronoun game. I don't usually do that.
As far as 'is there a boyfriend' you have as much idea as me. We talked some, and exchanged email addresses.
But I did invite her to go see Scott's production of Midsummer Night's Dream after getting the tecchie angle. She may even accept.

I cannot help but notice that nobody asked for a rendition of 'Modden Wuv' so I could spurn them.
