The USPS has no little rubber stamp that says "Do not leave outside in the rain or actually in a puddle for god's sake what are you thinking". So I will have to settle for "Do not fold".

It's probably far too late, but I was going to suggest that you put a piece of firm cardboard behind the item you were shipping.

For the other one, my plan involves a lot of bubble wrap. I don't want the recipient to open it and find glass shards.

I'm hoping that cardstock + insurance + 'needs signature' will help.
