It is both amusing and bemusing to be browsing Netflix for 'that one movie that I've forgotten the name of and only remember seeing an ad for the DVD on television today' and stumbling across titles where I can only stare at them and think "I gave four stars to *that*? Was I high?"

Is that the one where you say "I remember this book/movie with giant ants" or something similar? I love that concept.
The only problem is, all I can remember now is that there was an advert for a movie that's being released on DVD soon and I thought "I should remember that one". No idea where I saw it or what the movie was. Just that I told myself to remember it. Apparently I was not precise enough.

I think you got the idea right) Give as many details as possible. There are ususlly some answers to the questions. I believe trying is better anyway than doing nothing at all)

Cyrano, do you mean that you rated a number of films at random?

No, I mean that yesterday I came across a couple of films that were rated rather higher than I remember enjoying them. I dropped a few movies from four stars to two stars.

Was that you who rated them four stars before?

I'm the only one with access to my netflix account so I have to assume that I was in a particularly good mood or something. "Wanted" is not a four star film. (:

Is it lower or higher than that?

...That was one of the films that I dropped to a two star rating. (:

Well, I feel I'll soon be somewhere in the same boat... Do I get it right that you saw only its ad and rated it based on this ad?

Actually, no. Netflix sent us the movie, we watched it and sent it back. And I said "That wasn't awful but God it wasn't good."
Which was why I was surprised to see that I'd rated it with four stars, and why I changed it back to two.

Sorry if I'm bothering you, but the word "sleep-rate" was quite new to me, and I failed to find it in the four online dictionaries I tried. So I asked questions to a couple of Russian communities. And as I 'wasn't very precise' either, there were some arguments about what part of speech it is, whether it is spelled correctly after all, who was better at translating and all that jazz.

Now,putting it my way, while you were looking for a certain film on Netflix, which was rather difficult to do 'cause you hardly remembered any details, you were surprised to find that you'd overrated a few films including *that one*. So after a slight shock or whatever-it-was you dropped their rating. Can I take it for the final version?

No worries. (:
I was not very impressed by the film. I think that for "Wanted" two stars is an accurate rating. "Sleep-rate" is a word that I created, to be sort of like sleep-walking. But instead of walking around while I was asleep, I might have been on Netflix rating movies while I was asleep, because I couldn't think of any other way that it could have gotten four stars.
Am I less confusing now?

You were not from the very beginning ) There's just some difference between what you say to yourself, because you needn't go into detail, and how the others get you (with my English as a second language, the case is even more complicated.

Now I know even slightly more than I wanted, so thank you for your time and consideration:)
