cyrano: (My Little Friend)

And thanks to the generosity of my gaming ladies, I have an early birthday present--I'm a Mook, and I'm getting the new Deadlands book, cards, and dice.
I suppose I'd better learn the Savage Lands system. (:
Thank you very much, Tersa, Tavella, and Z-Amber. I miss you.

Yeah, I understand. And it is still a weird set up for that. I wish that ebooks worked as well as actual books for gaming stuff. But until I can stick my fingers in the pages in four different places (or some other easily managed bookmarks) it's not the same.

I thought Kindles had the ability to do that?

(But I don't even have a piece of shit, I have to admire yours.)

I find the bookmark technology to be.... a bit clunky.

However, I will note that I read Kindle books and Nook books using free software on my desktop, and while the laptop isn't quite as portable, it does make those books accessible.

I just spent the last half hour poking at eReaders online. Augh.

And there isn't really a good way to decide between them, except maybe to flip a coin.

There is very little difference between the damn things. It's why I got both of them for the desk top.
But I do love e-ink.

Well, not the apps, the actual eReader hardware. I'm torn between e-Ink and something like a Nook Color or Kindle Fire.

Aaah. Then I say yes, go for the e-ink if you have any trouble with reading off a screen for long periods of time. The eInk is easier to read, easier on the eyes, and saves battery life.
