You ain't seen nothin' yet

Today we added our first direct flights from San Francisco to Reno. So things were chaotic even before the plane broke down and began a spiral of delays cancellations and gate changes. And, for reasons which are beyond my comprehension, we had to park the plane in one of the loading gates. Maybe because United hates us and wouldn't let us move it.
Anyway. So things were pretty crazy all day. Then a lady came up to me this evening and said "I've been watching you the past couple of hours. You're very good at your job. Would you be interested in moving to Wisconsin and working for a software business that I own? Pay starts at over $40K."

Did I mention that this has been a surreal week?

Doesn't feel good to have someone notice you are doing a good job? Did you give her your boss's name so she could tell them.

Nah. I was too busy trying to figure out whether to say yes or not.
By the way--the email you get will be sent by lj-notify@livejournal.com and if you reply to it, the mail will go back to that automated account. Its purpose is to let you know that somebody has made a reply to something you said on LiveJournal and it will have a URL you can go to where you can see the comment and reply to it.
To add somebody to your Friends page, go to your 'Profile' or 'User info' page. Then click on the 'Your Friends' link under 'Your Settings'. At the bottom of that page will be a place to put account names (like mine, _cyranocyrano_, or Larry's, _l2g_) and add them to your Friends page. And then you can click on 'Friends' from your main page to see it.
