Celebrity count is increased by one due to Claudia Christian's flight up to Eureka. And I managed to remain upright when she said "If there's anything I can do that would convince you to give me a seat on this flight...."
Low key birthday weekend, wherein I got a sizeable gift certificate for going to the movies and a copy of the Asian cut of Shaolin Soccer (which I had opined about for the past month or two and then posited that it might be what was inside the packaging while I played with the wrapping and Angie succeeded in not unwrapping it for me out of frustration) from the wondrous ladies of Chez Femme II, and Cindy turned my paperweight into a fierce computing machine with the Power of the Internet at my Fingertips, my housemate came home to see me, and Ellie introduced me to the mighty world of Mark Dacascos.
There was more fruit than a fruit farmers' convention at Casa De Fruta (today I had to toss two baskets of strawberries which had grown fuzzy enough they either needed to shave or become compost).
There's another opening for a supervisor at work. I'm tempted to apply for the extra money and career furthering whatnot. ($1.50/hr above base) But the hours would probably suck, I'm not sure I want to supervise people (particularly not many of the folks I work with), I'm not sure I want to make a career out of this, and I'm not sure I have the abilities/skills/knowledge to do the job. Many people have approached me and asked me if I'm applying for the job. My instinctive reaction is 'Hell no', which really ought to be a big red warning sign.

Date: 2003-07-08 09:20 am (UTC)And at least I like one Mark Dacascos movie. But there was a little too much plot in it, and not enough ass kicking. (It also had that guy from the Sprite commercials, and Brittany Murphy who apparently is The Next Big Thing like Ashton Kutchner whom I also have never seen in anything.)
