Another day older
Sep. 19th, 2003 11:31 amThis is my new shitty work schedule effective 3 October:
Thursday Friday Saturday and Sunday, eight to four-thirty.
That'll be 32 hours a week. I can probably pick up an extra day every week by hustling my co-workers.
However, work is now offering to pay $63 a month toward public transportation if I surrender my parking pass which they pay for. That will probably make it worth the extra two hours or so I'd spend commuting.
Now all I have to do is find out the most convenient way to get to the train station from my house, and if I'd be allowed to use the BART SFO train now that CalTrain has cancelled their Millbrae shuttle.

Date: 2003-09-19 12:16 pm (UTC)The Saturday/Sunday commute wouldn't suck
The Bad news: No public transportation on weekend.
The Weekday commute in a car would suck.
My conclusion:
I probably wouldn't give up the parking pass. Not only would you be spending an extra two hours commuting using public transportation, you would also be spending more time commuting on weekends.
I think keeping the parking pass and sucking up longer commutes 2 days out of 4 is the way to go.
