Item: Frances is weakening as she travels overland--now a Cat 1 storm, but still a hurricane. Expected to dump lots of rain on Florida before heading out into the Gulf tonight.

Item: Asked Alaska to send me tickets for SJC-SEA and asked work for 3-5 Oct off.

Item: Mom, I hope your trip to Orlando wasn't this week.

This is possible. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to try and wrest crash space from somebody or get a hotel room, but I'm probably going to see about hiring a car.
I'm also going to send email to people who might want to see me but have not responded to my LJ posts.

I've just been notified that there will be a volunteers retreat near Seattle that weekend, so I'll already be in the area Sun. There is a pool party following the meeting, and if you're interested in attending, I could see if it's possible to bring a guest.

Either way, I'd be interested in sharing the cost of the room Sun night, and we could hang out Mon? I wouldn't have a car, so you'd have to put me on the bus back to Oly at some point.

Z will be working on Mon in Oly, so that would be fine. Depending on what happens for childcare, I may have to be there by 2pm. Otherwise, he will be off work at 8ish.

Oh! I won't be sans car until Z decides to leave after the deal. He can drop me off, but I suppose close to SEATAC would most likely be on the way.
