Rain--I don't mind.

It's coming down now--between the wind and the rain, I'd say it's definitely 'wear a coat' weather. The 'mate keeps saying the word 'typhoon' but I remain dubious.

Somewhere there must be a Californian-Northwestern translation dictionary with an entry like this: "Typhoon => Possible umbrella weather."

Of course, after last week, it would probably also contain: "Earthquake => Violent cataclysm of Biblical proportions." :-)
