So... according to this article, Appeals Court Judge Raymond Randolph says "Cuba -- not the United States -- has sovereignty over Guantanamo Bay."
I think that Fidel would be delighted to hear this news. I must be misunderstanding the ruling, because it's being lauded as a victory for the administration. Giving legal control of a US base to one of our longest, least enemific enemies would keep those terrorists from getting into a US court of law, but I'd think that a Cuban court of law would be far more sympathetic to them.

Lots of projects still not getting done, and I threw a couple of others on top of the bin while I was at it. But that TiVo certainly knows who's boss. And I watched GlenGary Glenn Ross again, which made me want to reread Speed the Play while watching Scarface.

EDIT:
Today I got spam with the subject "He So Karamazov". It's like Martin Lawrence read a book or something. I like it.

That's actually been going on a while

Germany for example - a low-level judge put in an indictment for Cheney.

Basically; Bush, Cheney, and the gang aren't going to be doing a whole lot of jet-setting around the globe going to conferences in 2009 because of stuff like that.

I'm kind of hoping they travel and are picked up using extraordinary rendition and flown to Italy or Germany, (tomorrow would work for me.)
