And I really liked his spirit
Jun. 23rd, 2007 09:33 amOn the fifteenth, Will Shetterly and Emma Bull are coming to San Francisco for a book signing at Borderlands. I've wrestled with the public transportation angle, and 511.org promises me it'll take about two hours (not counting the four block stroll at the end) to get there from here. Google maps says forty-five minutes by car, but that doesn't account for traffic. Regardless, given that I get off work at six and the signing starts at seven, driving still sounds like a win. All I'd have to do is figure some parking. And not go insane.
On that note, I'm thinking of putting together a mix disc for Territory to give to Emma when she's there, a sort of wild west mix. Again, tracklist suggestions are welcome.
Right now I've got "Tombstone" by the Pogues and "Ghost of a Texas Ladies' Man" by Concrete Blonde. So you can see that I already have nothing in mind and am open to suggestions.

Date: 2007-06-23 04:59 pm (UTC)I've got actually quite a bit of wild west-ish stuff in rotation lately. I'll pull together a list of stuff that may fit (but probably not today - Monday is more likely), and if there's anything you want on there, I'll send it your way. :)

Date: 2007-06-23 05:10 pm (UTC)I added the Bar Fight music from Desperado, and then I added Edmunson's Firefly bar fight music, and a little traditional fiddle from Alexander James Adams, and then Her Ladyship Qada'an Nachin so it's got a very acoustic feel to it now and I'm either going to shatter that or run with it. I haven't decided. (:
