You know, I'm not a fan of the Chinese government. But... there's something about this method that I approve of.

We killed Kenneth Lay with stress and I am sure a few of the suicides of corporate leaders may have been a little more "assisted" than even Dr. K's.

You have me thinking about the conservatives who think there is too much government regulation and that we should let companies regulate themselves.
This is what happens in a pure capitalist market. The drive to reduce manufacturing costs so you can compete with other companies and make a profit leads to using shortcuts that may be detrimental to the customers. Of course the customers don't know what is in the product so they can't make an informed decision.

And in a pure capitalist market, the corporation owns the newspaper so there's no reporting that thousands of people are dying because of faulty safety oversights in the product, so the self-correction my libertarian friends hope for is pretty effectively disabled.
